Seven Percent But You Could Pay Less!

The total invoice is reduced by 10%. Payment must be received no later than 7 days from the invoice date.

Pay within 3 days (20% discount)

The total invoice is reduced by 20%. Payment must be received no later than 3 days from the invoice date.

Dispatchers:

  • Work on Your Behalf – A dispatcher is essentially part of your support team, focused on maximizing your earnings and ensuring a smooth scheduling process.

  • Negotiation & Administrative Help – Dispatchers handle rate negotiations, paperwork, and load tracking so you can focus on driving.

  • Fee Structure – Typically, dispatchers charge a flat percentage or fee based on the loads they help secure and manage.

Dispatchers vs. Brokers: What’s the Difference?

Brokers:

  • Act as Intermediaries – A broker connects shippers with carriers. Their goal is to match the shipper’s needs to available capacity in the market.

  • Commission-Based – Brokers earn by taking a margin between what the shipper pays and what the carrier receives, not by working strictly on the carrier’s behalf.

  • Regulatory Obligations – Brokers must have the proper authority (broker’s license) from the FMCSA in the U.S. and adhere to specific regulations designed for freight intermediaries.

Why Choose a Dispatcher?

  • Driver-Centric – Dispatchers advocate for you, the driver, to secure higher-paying loads.

  • Personalized Service – The relationship is more like having an in-house partner than dealing with a middleman.

  • Transparent Fees – Instead of a broker’s margin, you pay a predictable service fee that often leads to better net rates.

Dispatchers typically reduce the time drivers spend on administrative tasks and searching for loads. If a driver can start working a day or even a half-day sooner on profitable loads—versus waiting to finalize booking or dealing with paperwork—their weekly or monthly revenue can increase accordingly.

Rate Increases of 5–15%:
Many dispatch services report that owner-operators and small fleets see an improvement of roughly 5–15% in their per-mile rate when a professional dispatcher with strong negotiating skills handles load booking. This is attributed to dispatchers’ familiarity with both market conditions and effective negotiation tactics.
